Who is it suitable for?
If you are starting from scratch or want to improve low-speed stability and clutch and throttle coordination, you first make a brief evaluation. If you have experience, you focus on the skills you need instead of repeating the same movements over and over again. You also consider the adaptation programme if you are switching to a new motorcycle.
Initial assessment
First, you talk to the instructor about the motorcycle you have ridden before, how long you have been away from riding, and your goal. Then you choose the vehicle that suits your height, level and intended use.
Controls and basic handling
You learn the motorcycle’s controls and practise setting off, controlled stops, low-speed balance and where to look. On a manual motorcycle, you also work on coordinating the clutch, throttle and gear changes.
Repetition and feedback
You break the movement you are having difficulty into small steps with the instructor. At the end of the lesson, you decide which skill to prioritise next.
Lesson duration and day plan
You determine the total duration and day plan of the private lesson based on the initial evaluation. The basic test training listed on the price page is eight lesson hours over two days. The scope of a private lesson should be agreed separately before registration. Confirm lesson-hour length and the daily schedule before your appointment.
Motorcycles and equipment used
You and the instructor choose the motorcycle according to your height, level and goal. Share your automatic or manual vehicle preference and the model of your own motorcycle, if any, in the interview. You clarify the motorcycle and equipment arrangements before the lesson. The instructor checks the suitability of protective equipment, especially the helmet.
If you want to train with your own motorcycle, the instructor must evaluate the technical condition, insurance and training area suitability in advance. You can get information from the training phone line for model suitability.
